About the Workshops:<\/h6>\n \n <\/div>\n

Women in Creative Industries is a capacity building initiative in which 300 young women from Cairo, Giza, Qalyubia, Dakahlia will have the chance to choose and learn about one of the following tracks; directing, scriptwriting or photography in a 5 day workshop in Cairo during Dec 2024\/Jan 2025. This activity falls under the “Ending Violence against Women and Girls” Programme, implemented by UN Women in partnership with the National Council for Women with the generous support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). These workshops are executed by Media & More.<\/p>\n\n

Filmmaking\/Directing<\/strong><\/p>\n

Participants will get introduced to the main concepts of film directing and will be given the chance to create a short film as a team. This includes developing the director’s treatment and vision. This workshop is designed to offer participants larger knowledge with basic tools; including how to read a script as a director, decoupage (creating shot lists) and choosing your angles.<\/p>\n
